Children’s author & illustrator Thyra Heder spent the afternoon
at the Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah Elementary School on Friday October 7th. Thyra is the author and illustrator of the picture
books “The Bear Report” & “Fraidyzoo“.
She enjoys teaching both writing and illustration to students of all
ages and shared much about her creative process in her presentation. Thyra did a drawing at the presentation. She allowed students to give her ideas - the final picture was Santa riding a polar bear eating ice cream sandwiches. The picture is on display in the elementary library.
